Stacey and Guy tell us what they have been up to with Zammo. Customers went from building diagram flows and intents to agentic systems, carrying a familiar mix of outsized expectations and real fears. Stacey tells us where the market sits now. In particular, customers want the freedom of generative AI in some places and firm control in others, and more of them want an AI hub that connects to the tools and backend systems they already run.
Guy takes us into how Zammo builds for that. Determinism is enforced at the code level while Gen AI sits at the front, collecting information and keeping the conversation natural. Flow diagrams came back. He tells us that transparency about why a system moved from one step to the next mattered as much as control, especially for state and local government customers with strict approval processes.
They also dig into content management on large government websites, where different teams want the same content to surface in different ways, and why mapping a process exposes how little a team sometimes agrees on what the process is. Guy closes on evals as the one thing he would add to any conversation design course today, the guard against content and model drift as systems keep changing.
